Mango tree located in an empty land piece next to Jambal tree and it is one minute journey for small wings to carry her to next stop to add up more food to her small beak. Having bird photographer at home I came to know about life cycle and she is carrying food for her newborn chicks in the nest. I was alert not to show up my self in front of her as birds catch our eye vision as they are blessed with magnificent eye power. If we watch them constantly they sense it as danger and they may not come again to the same place. I was not able to find her nest, as from mango tree she flies away and my observation for the days ends with her exit from mango tree.
I stood watching it …helplessly… Are we sole owners of this nature? elements of the nature are meant to flourish only the human race…? Can we demolish house of other creatures to build Multi-storey buildings.. ?Don’t we need any other creature on this world …? Destroying their homes is secondary matter but now we have encroached into their air water and soil….do we have rights to do so?… All these questions were raising their horns towards me.
Next morning I could watch her only on Jambal tree and she fly off. After mango tree, remaining Honey bees will have to find other tree and form other comb…it is Honeybees problem….. On some other day, for some solid reason they will cut off this Jambal tree also ….where will small Barbet will dwell. ..where she will find food for her chicks...Yes… its her life struggle and her head ache to find solution …after all these creatures are struggling to give a safe life to their progeny….I know…but are we doing justice to our offspring’s..? are we leaving this world worth of living to them. Polluting soil , water and air with carbon, sulphur gases and chemical wastages is old stuff to discuss… now…we have newer addition to our list Nuclear contamination…do we have answer?
Combined efforts of Time and Nature evolved our earth to this stage. We have evolved as “Tallest, Strongest and Sharpest” child of Mother Nature in Biopyramid. We have a credit of eradicating numerous species of plant and animals from the globe and evolving variety of mutant microbes. Today we are on the edge of devastating our own soil, water……we are not left with fresh air to breathe in for ourselves. We are just running short of time to control it ...the servant of our commands grown beyond our control. NUCLEAR REACTORS and products along with their waste offering greater challenge to manage them.
Time has prescribed Mother Nature to “Keep them out of children reach” and she did.
We are blessed with other source of energy on our planet .Fossil fuel, wind, Solar, rich wood in green forest ,water , waves…but we need more…”We are growing Mommy..we are complan kids”…we need more power to run our projects… we need more energy to light up our facilities…we need much more to prove our self from rest of the world that we own more reactors and more energy to fulfill all our desires.
One of the darkest chapters of such human desire is framing lesson to mankind in name of Japan today. The bigest question is are we learning anything from it?.Atleast trying to analyze Why,How and Where we moving so fast ……what ever we prove we have to prove on this planet ..our non stop growth just vanishing every thing on its way.History of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl are not enough now we have new entry Fukushima. Total six reactors in a city and breakage of man made walls and reactors to the force of earthquake and tsunami results in contamination of grass to air.
They found out radioactive Cesium, Iodine in soil, milk, food and even the enormous sea water was also contaminated. Enough to invite fatal cancers in human .for the result preventing further leakage by pouring sea water ,putting concrete blocks watch with the time.They declared water,soil and air in this vicinity not fit to live. No entry zone within 20 km of the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, People around 50,000 people told to leave 20 km zone around the reactor .Safety measures are taken to ensure to safeguard human lives…. what about Others?...The flora and fauna of Fukushima, sea life next to reactors….with in danger zone…. out side the danger zone…don’t they need safety ..?
Answer is …That is not need of the hour or we will re-establish them later…or We Human beings are more important than rest. Yes always we stand first, but disturbing the balance in nature will make us to pay more than this. Contaminated environment will enhance gene mutations in plant, animals as well in microbes. A mutation in HIV is enough to make us to reach the threshold of our research. An Unknown epidemic with new virus or bacteria raised because of this contamination will make us to feel the range of their mutation.
These free radioactive elements ringing the alarm to human kind. Will we ever wake up from our hallucination? Every nation either accumulating nuclear power either for energy or for defense…both are dangerous ….we have both examples in Japan. We have to realize the need of homeostasis in our achievements. After all our performance on the stage we have retire back to the same soil, water and air and we are dependent on rest of the living and non-lining creation, In turn the rest of the cretures can survive with out "Brightest kid"of nature.
